EMMAUS SPRING
Emmaus Spring is the youth and young adult ministry of Emmaus Lutheran Church. The word Emmaus means "warm spring". Thinking of the word spring creates many images: of a spring
that brings forth life-giving water; of the season that marks beginnings and
rejuvenation; of springing into action; and, most recently, of the Arab Spring,
in which the younger generation used social media to begin a period of
transformation in the Middle East. Emmaus is going through a time of
rejuvenation – of new beginnings. We are springing into action! The younger
generation will play a key role in the future of Emmaus. The many images of the
word spring
apply to our church today. This is why our youth and young adult ministry is
being called, the Emmaus Spring.
